The Edgewater Family
Yep. We're not the typical Whistler staff out here on the peninsula. We stick around. But if you've seen it down here, you'd understand why. It's our own little world & we love it, & you get to be part of it when you stay or dine with us.
The driveway is only 800 metres long but somehow we have a total disconnect from the real world down here and we aren't complaining!
Randy Symons bought and held on to the property for 30 years before he, his wife Yvonne & his son Jay built the lodge in 1994.
Lee & Kam started here not long after Jay & his family built the place & Kylie has been here here 6 years, which in Whistler is a lifetime :)
Our Chef, Patrick started with us in December 2011 as did our sous chefs, Therese & Adam.
Our two housekeepers, Tristan & Thibaut, are the "housekeeping department".
Bethany started in Spring 2012 as one of our Innkeepers, manning (or womanning) the Front Desk with Kylie.
So, our tiny team here works like this: Kylie & Beth share the front desk duties, Kam & Lee manage all of the events in the restaurant, Patrick, Therese & Adam cook all the food, Tristan & Thibaut clean the rooms & Jay does everything else, including signing the paycheques!
