Weddings at Edgewater Lodge
The lodge is in one of British Columbia and Whistler's most spectacular locations. The views from the lodge,
the garden areas, and the dining room are unparalled in Whistler. The lodge can handle smaller groups up to
a maximum of about 120 people* for a summer wedding with dinner reception.
The Dining Room
The dining room itself sits up to 70 people comfortably for dinner inside and an additional 30 people on our deck
whereas for the larger weddings, a Marquis tent is set up on our lawn beside the lake.

Wedding Options at Edgewater Include
Ceremony Only at Edgewater Lodge
We allow ceremonies to be performed
here.
This is a mid-day affair. One can arrange to have Champagne
and Appetizers present after the ceremony as well. In
summer
(July, August, September), we suggest the ceremony be out on our patio
or lawn. If the weather turns for the worse, then the
ceremony
could be moved indoors to our dining room. We have chairs and
tables
that can be set outside for the ceremony, and Marquis Tents can be
rented
for cover if needed...
Ceremony and Reception at Edgewater Lodge
The patio in front of the lodge (outside) is the spot most (95%) people have had their ceremonies. The
others (5%) have had the ceremony in the dining room, but those have been winter
ceremonies when there was snow on the ground or when we have had
inclement weather which doesn't tend to be a problem in the summer time.
patio is outstanding for pictures with (in the summer) an abundance of wild flowers and outstanding views about.
Sample Wedding Itinerary (for a ceremony, then reception):
3:15 PM Guests arrive.
4:00 PM Wedding Ceremony outside on patio. Wedding couple closest to Green Lake with Green Lake and mountains behind them.
4:30 PM Pictures, signing of registry, etc.
4:45 PM Hor D'ouevres and champagne served (while wedding couple is busy with pictures...)
6:00
PM
Dinner is served.
*Depending on numbers, guests are
seated
either in our dining room or a Marquis Tent out on the lawn beside the
dining room and on the lake.

Pan Seared Camembert:Served with fig mousse, deep fried parsley, and roasted garlic
Then:
Edgewater Salad
The Main Course - Choice of
Filet of Wild BC Salmon
Grilled to perfection then baked and served
with lime and herbs and topped with a
feather light béarnaise.
Rack of Lamb:
From
those mist covered mountains. Rack of lamb served with a
seven herb essence and all the trimmings
Poulet à L'Edge
Boneless
baked chicken breast infused with pistachio-camembert,
sundried tomatoes and a pesto vinaigrette
Vegetarian Pasta
A
special concoction created by our own wizard, Thomas Piekarski
Rooms:
Book out the entire lodge for your wedding! Makes for a great friend and family retreat at the same time.
*Please note: Wedding guests booking a room for a wedding already planned should call in to make their reservations as the wedding couple will have often blocked all the rooms in the lodge for the event.
